Rescue |
Minimum, complete a department approved one (1) hour course
in operations of rescue equipment every calendar year. |
| 4 |
SCBA |
Minimum, complete a department approved one (1) hour course
in operations of Self-Contained-Breathing-Apparatus every
calendar year. |
| 5 |
Ladder |
Minimum, complete a department approved 1 hour drill in
ladder operations and climb ground and ariel ladder every
calendar year. |
| 6 |
Grass |
Minimum, Complete a department approved 1 hour drill in
grass firefighting techniques every calendar year. |
| 7 |
Haz Mat |
Minimum, complete a department approved one (1) hour course
in awareness of hazardous material every calendar year. |
| 8 |
Drive |
Every member shall maintain a valid California
Driver's License with less than 4 points from DMV. |
| Failure to maintain any of the above standards
will allow the chief of the fire department to place any member
on a six (6) month maximum administrative leave of absence. |
| Administrative leave shall mean but not
limited to: |
| 1 |
Member shall not carry a department pager. |
| 2 |
member shall not respond to emergencies |
| 3 |
member shall not participate in drills |
|
| Administrative leave may be terminated at any
time by the chief of the department upon successful completion
of the required training or elimination of the cause of leave. |
| Any member on administrative leave for six (6)
months that does not complete the required training or otherwise
meet department standards may be dropped from the roll. |
